2013 Campaign Luncheon Wrap-up

The United Way Young Leaders Society would like to thank everyone who attended the Campaign Luncheon at Regions on Oct. 16. The event brought together dozens of young professionals who heard from Gordon Martin, of Alabama Power Co., about why it's important to be involved with the United Way of Central Alabama.

"I do this for the right reasons but it has some real, tangible benefits." Martin said. Not only does fundraising and volunteering for UWCA help others, but it provides wonderful connections to others in the community -- on a personal and professional level. "It's all about doing well while doing good," Martin said.

Fall Service Project

Please help us with our children's book drive!

Help us collect children’s books for a new school in Oneonta. The books should be for children ages 3-16 and can be new or like-new. 

The book drive will last through the month of December.

Habitat for Humanity

We are proud to announce an exciting volunteer opportunity for May! Join other Young Leaders on May 19 from 7:30-11:30 am to build a house with Habitat for Humanity. We will be partnering with the Lowe's Women to build a house for the Gloria Shepard family.
