September Service Project: Read and Romp Birmingham

Read and Romp Birmingham will take place at Railroad Park on Sept. 17 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. for families to bring their children ages 3-5. There will be 11 activity tables set up for kids to participate in activities related to books. Each family will have a passport they will take to the tables to be stamped after participating in the activity. When leaving they will show the passport to the check out table and will receive a bag of 7 brand new books to take home with them. There will also be face painting and some APT characters there. We need volunteers to help out at the tables with the activities. The organizations at the tables include groups such as McWane Science Center, the Zoo, Birmingham Museum of Art, Childcare Resources, etc. There will also be a hike
through the park with Fresh Air Family and will need some volunteers to go on that with the kiddos and their parents.
